Description
Subtle spicy 'nutmeg' flavours.
Grows well in coastal areas and copes well in windy or exposed conditions - it has few pest or disease problems.
Originated in the garden of the Hall at Tolleshunt D'Arcy, Essex in 1785.
A very late dessert apple, traditionally picked at Guy Fawkes - 5th November - and stored until ready to eat from January to April.
Those who like 'Russets' in general will enjoy the texture of D'Arcy Spice.
